Moomin Bakery & Cafe in Fukuoka permanently closed on September 9, 2022.

For those who are fans of The Moomins, this Moomin Bakery & Cafe in Fukuoka Prefecture is a dream come true. This cafe and bakery is located in Canal City in Hakata and is a place where you can immerse yourself into the Moomintroll world. At the cafe, you can sit with your favorite Moomintroll characters such as Moominmama, Moominpapa, Sniff, and of course, Moomin. The cafe is beautifully decorated with little trinkets that make you feel as if you were in Moomin Valley. There is also a screen that plays The Moomins (a TV show based on the characters) that people can enjoy while they wait for their food to come.

The menu consists of meat dishes (such as hamburgers and chicken), pasta, soups, omurice, curry, and more. All of these dishes come with an all-you-can-eat bread bar, and the average price for one dish for dinner is around 1100 yen. The menu also includes a dessert section with items such as pancakes. The main excitement and uniqueness of this cafe, however, is the presentation of the food. A lot of the food comes in the shape of the Moomintroll characters, which are almost too cute to eat. In the salad, the cheese comes in the shape of the "Nyoro-Nyoro." On top of that, all the plates, silverware, and cups have the characters on them as well.

For those who want to experience the Moomin bakery and cafe, but don't have time to sit down and eat, there is a stand next to the cafe where you can buy boba drinks with over 15 different flavors. You can also taste different types of boba according to the drink you get. The average price for the drinks is around 380 yen.

If you are a big fan of the Moomintroll characters, or simply want a fun place to visit when you are in Hakata, the Moomin bakery and cafe will give visitors a unique unforgettable experience that can only be enjoyed in Japan.
