Inspired by the historic merchant town of Koedo Kawagoe, Hanyū PA is built to resemble the streets of the Edo period, with wooden façades, tiled roofs, and paper lanterns guiding visitors into a setting that feels like stepping back in time.

Local specialties are a highlight, ranging from freshly made soba noodles and unagi (eel) dishes to sweets inspired by regional flavors. Hanyu PA is located along the Tohoku Expressway (E4), a tolled road on Japan's highway system, and just north of Hanyu IC.
Onihei Edodokoro is located on the southbound side ("Up," agari) towards Tokyo — the northbound Hanyu PA is offers a more conventional design.
