National Azabu is located in one of Tokyo's most international communities right in the heart of Minato Ward. It is a short distance from Hiroo Station on the Hibiya subway line. The supermarket provides an international experience - from the indoor decor, the large American-style aisles, and the products that they sell.

The supermarket has a vast selection of imported food goods, as well as your everyday basic grocery needs. You will find your typical Japanese essentials, but what makes the store unique are all of the international goods that they stock. National Azabu is very global, with aisles filled with non-Japanese food - Mexican, Chinese, Italian, American, and more. As I was born and raised in the United States, it was very comforting to see all of my favorite foods, many of which are not typically found in Japan. Some of the items are on the pricier end, but it all depends on how much you are willing to pay for the tastes of home. The supermarket also has a large selection of frozen foods, fresh herbs & produce, baking items, pasta, and many traditional all-American treats. I was also impressed with their selection of gluten-free products, which can be difficult to find in Japan.

The staff are friendly, welcoming, and willing to help customers with anything. The store also offers delivery service and a website where you can find more information, or shop online. Avoid having to leave your home or hotel to fight the crowds by having groceries delivered directly to your front door. National Azabu also has a point-card membership with which you are presented with a 500 yen coupon after accumulating 500 points. Some specials are available only to members on products such as milk, yogurt, bread, and other daily food products.

After shopping in person, enjoy some tasty ice cream at the Baskin Robbins located right outside of the grocery store's entrance.
