Nagai house is one of the Edo period thatched roof houses that has been relocated and preserved in Yakushike Park in Machida. Unlike Ogino House, which was originally a clinic, Nagai House seems simpler, and more like a farm house. I could easily imagine it standing amid rice fields and orchards in some rural of Machida two hundred years ago.
