One of the easiest ways to add a little extra Minion chaos to a Japan trip this summer is to check into one of the country’s Prince Hotels.

To celebrate the release of Minions & Monsters, Seibu Prince Hotels are rolling out a nationwide collaboration across select locations from July 17th to September 15th, 2026. The event is exclusive to Japan and transforms hotel stays, cafés, lounges, and poolside spaces into a colorful Minions-themed adventure.

Highlights of the collaboration range from immersive hotel rooms to themed afternoon teas, character desserts and fun photo opportunities. Travelers looking to stay overnight can book collaboration rooms at Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, Shinjuku Prince Hotel, and Biwako Otsu Prince Hotel. These rooms are decorated with Minions-themed wall art, window stickers, cushions and other touches that make guests feel as though they’ve stepped straight into the movie. Many stay plans also include exclusive souvenirs such as original key cards, blankets, bags, and towels.

Food is another major highlight. In Osaka, Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay is serving a Minions & Monsters Afternoon Tea featuring banana tarts, character-inspired mousses, tropical desserts and Osaka-style savory bites. In Tokyo, Shinagawa Prince Hotel offers a mischievous Minion banana cake, while Sapporo Prince Hotel serves adorable Minion burgers and a Goomi-themed cream soda.

Travelers heading to the coast can also stop by the Oiso Prince Hotel, where a special Minions photo spot has been installed for summer.

As a bonus, guests using participating hotels and restaurants can receive limited-edition Minions & Monsters postcards on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

With themed rooms, character desserts, exclusive merchandise and plenty of photo opportunities, this nationwide collaboration offers inbound visitors a fun way to experience Japan’s hotel culture while diving into the wonderfully chaotic world of the Minions.
