Hikawa Jinja in Saitama is Omiya's main shrine is only a ten minute walk from Kita-Omiya, and about a twenty minute walk from Omiya Station. Claiming to be more than 2000 years old, this Shinto shrine boasts a two kilometer long sandō – the road leading to shrine - that is filled to the brim with stalls and people during its yearly festival.
