Tokyo's diverse neighborhoods, regions, and islands come together at the Tokyo Harvest Festival, a free event celebrating the food, culture, and travel experiences found across the prefecture.
Held at Tokyo International Forum, the festival has attracted more than 50,000 visitors in previous years and brings together tourism associations from Tokyo's 23 wards, the Tama region, and the islands. Visitors can browse local products, pick up travel ideas, and discover destinations they may not have considered visiting before.
Food is a major part of the festival, with gourmet food trucks serving dishes made with Tokyo ingredients and regional specialties. There is also a bar featuring Tokyo sake, craft beer, island shochu, and rum, alongside a limited-edition soup and other festival-exclusive dishes.
There is plenty to do beyond eating, too. Visitors can try a footbath experience inspired by Tokyo's hot springs, explore destinations through 360-degree VR, take part in traditional craft workshops, and watch demonstrations by local artisans.
One of the festival's newer attractions is an AI travel diagnosis, which uses visitors' preferences to suggest Tokyo destinations. There is also a stamp rally, select shop featuring local products, and booths offering information about destinations across the city, Tama, and Tokyo's islands.
