伏見稲荷大社　朝と夜

朱の鳥居、一万基をくぐってお山巡り

一万基ともいわれる朱の鳥居が、隙間なく参道を埋める伏見稲荷大社。京都東山36峰の最南端の嶺に、1300年間、人々の憶いを受け止めてきた社があります。鳥居の外に広がる森の緑は深く濃く、石畳が続く鳥居の内の世界は、非現実的な祈りの空間です。

夏の日、私は不思議な空気につつまれた鳥居のトンネルを歩き、約２時間のお山巡りをしました。参道に奉納された鳥居は、夏の午にはやさしく陽光を遮り、朝晩は朱を橙に染めあげて美しく輝いていました。
