I usually try to photograph at night in well lit up areas, but it's kind of a challenge in dim-lit streets as you find them in Kobe Chinatown. However, the Motomachi area is such an interesting subject, so I had to give it a try. The sodium lamps and the overall oriental set-up offer a time-slip experience and it feels like a scene from a mystery or horror movie. Kobe Chinatown is home to many great Chinese restaurants of course, as well as a Chinese temple; it is definitely fantastic spot to visit in the evening.

Travelling to various places and locations in Japan for over 20 years now, I want to share my experiences and also hear about destinations that I still have not been to in the land of the rising sun. Am a photography enthusiast and love to do slow shutter blue hour photography in Tokyo.
